Pets In Porn: Sucio!
Posted in animal rights, pets, wtf by thuy | Tags: heavy petting tumblr, pets, porn
The thought of my dog Kobe chilling in the same room while I’m getting my culo slapped or my chocha licked gives me the heebie jeebies.
Well someone took my worst nightmare and started a blog showing screen shots of people doing gross sexy times with their pets in the room. The identities of the sickos are colored over but I still can’t help but to give a major side eye to the photoshopped horndogs!
Go to Heavy Petting Tumblr to make your eyes bleed see the rest. And now I’m off to find a basket of baby bunnies to cuddle with.

Meat Was Murder For Moz At Coachella
Posted in animal cruelty, boys we heart, celeb, events, food/drink, music by thuy | Tags: animal cruelty, coachella, meat, meat is murder, morrissey, moz, mozzersThe video clip above is of Morrissey walking off the stage during his set at Coachella because the smell of cooking meat offended him.
Morrissey gave his quote of the year at Coachella just before he walked off the stage during his song “Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others”: “I can smell burning flesh and I hope to God it’s human,” he said, smelling the barbeque sold by festival vendors.
To his credit, Moz did return to the stage and continue his set, giving the explanation that “the smell of burning animals is making me sick. I just couldn’t bear it.”
Morrissey usually has a strict ban on meat products at his gigs, but at festivals, anything goes.
Homie is SERIOUS about his hatred for meat. I don’t blame him. The smell of seafood makes me want to puke through my nostrils.
In other news, he was set to play the next night in my old stomping grounds of San Francisco. He cancelled his show only to be seen later chilling at the DNA Lounge. Oh that Mozzers, always so dramatic. We wouldn’t have it any other way. But I would have been PISSED as hell if I was supposed to be attending that show and he cancelled!

What Is Earth Day?
Posted in environment, events, holiday by thuy | Tags: earth day, history
Earth Day is a Birthday!! Just like a birthday is a special day to celebrate a person, ED is a special day that celebrates the Earth. ED was born on April 22, 1970, in San Francisco, and is the annual U.S. celebration of the environment and a time for Americans to assess the work still needed to protect the natural gifts of our planet. Every year, America and over 100 different countries join together in the celebration of our Mother Earth. It’s the largest, most celebrated environmental event worldwide. On Earth Day, we remember to appreciate nature and learn ways to protect our environment. Find ways that you can help keep the planet clean and help protect our environment!

Word To Yo’ Mother (Earth) 2009
Posted in blog love, environment by thuyHappy Earth Day to our family, friends and readers. April 22nd holds a special place in our heart. Jen and I started our blog in February 2008. GG&S was created as an outlet to share the small changes we were going through in our new found passion to go “green,” amongst our peers and loved ones.
In the beginning we wrote our posts sporadically, getting in 5-10 posts a month. After we attended our first Earth Day event, one year ago today, we were so inspired, we decided to post more regularly on a daily basis and we’ve grown so much since then.
We have never claimed to be 100% “green.” We do our small part and get really excited to learn that our friends are doing the same when they come across a post that motivates them. It’s all about baby steps. We like to consider ourselves as tree snugglers instead of tree huggers.
We give thanks to everyone for all their comments, support and positivity to the little blog that could. We’ll keep ‘em coming as long as you all keep reading or until our Macs die out on us or until carpal tunnel kicks in.
Keep it Green, Grown and Sexy.
Mad love.

DIY: Lika Volkova
Posted in fashion by thuy | Tags: eco friendly, fashion, lika volkova, patternsLika Volkova, the designer behind SANS clothing line says there is no such thing as an eco-friendly clothing line. Fashion, no matter what it’s made out of or where it comes from, makes waste. Factories produce pollution as does the transportation it takes to get the clothing to the stores.
In response to their concerns about over-production, SANS deviced a bold refreshing strategy. Instead of making pieces of clothing, producing, distributing and selling it, they now sell downloadable patterns on their website. Prices range from $6-$20, which, Volkova says, is no less than what a designer can expect to make on a conventional piece of clothing. The patterns are digital and can be printed out on a conventional printer.
For the not-so-crafty, she recommends taking the pattern to a local tailor to have it made. Regardless, the result is a locally-made-to-fit garment that the owner will inevitably be emotionally attached to — and less likely to throw away — after being involved in the entire process of creating it. In Volkova’s words “When you have a piece that you made yourself, you relate to it differently. You value it differently.”
These aren’t your typical McCall patterns. I think it’s time to bust out my sewing machine.
Thanks Alex!

Green Toys For Tots
Posted in baby/child, environment, reduce/reuse/recycle by thuy | Tags: california, green toys inc., local, recycled milk jugs, reduce/reuse/recycle, toysGreen Toys makes children’s toys out of recycled milk jugs. My first thought was, how could that be? Plastic is bad, especially for kids to stick in their mouths. But apparently it’s reprocessed into high-density polyethylene which is considered to be the safest and cleanest plastic available.
The products are manufactured right here in Cali, which is a plus for us. Less distance for production= less gas emissions.
Also, Green Toys uses less packaging. Big plus in my books. They use recycled corrugated boxes, no plastic, cellophane or zip ties and the box is 100% recyclable. Exactly how all packaging should be.
And of course the most important part- safety. The toys contain no traceable amounts of Phthalates or BPA. They are also designed without any external coatings, eliminating the fear of lead paint.
I know I’m too old for toys but something is making me want that sand play set!

Greenster
Posted in auto/transportation, tech/gadgets by thuy | Tags: electric, greenster, sport car, targa styleGoing green means different things to different people. For tuner RUF it means cleaner cars and in this case, cars also painted in green. RUF has developed the eRUF Greenster with Siemens Corporate Technology. The eRUF explores many of the themes being investigated by automakers such as fewer C02 emissions and electric propulsion.
The Greenster, like its name suggests, is designed to look like a roadster vehicle of yesteryear complete with plaid seats. But the tech speaks to the 2000′s interest in green technology.
Going further than that the eRUF does something quite new in that it is fitted with a bi-directional network connection that not only allows its battery to be recharged in less than an hour on a 400-volt power outlet but also lets the car return energy back into the power network if needed. The system is called eDrive.
RUF will start producing the eRUF in small series by 2010.
Lovin’ the 915-Targa-style car. That shade of green, not so much.
