Solar Baggage

Lately I’ve been geeking out on solar technology. Since it doesn’t look like a solar paneled house or a solar rooftop Prius is anywhere in my near future, I guess for now I’ll have to settle for a sun soaking bag. I had yet to find one that I would actually rock until I came across this one from Noon Solar. I ain’t mad at being able to charge my phone or ipod just by keeping my bag in the front seat of my car to collect some rays. This will give a new meaning to sun worshipper (don’t click that) and tanorexic (I warned you.)

The solar power is stored in a lithium-ion battery pack, weighing about 4oz. The bags are made from biodegradable materials so that the bags can skip the landfill and go directly into your backyard without hurting the earth. The bags are safe and non-toxic, and most of the materials will actually nourish the earth if buried. The other materials such as the solar panel and hardware can be removed and recycled or reused. Sold!
