AT&T Says, “Reach Out & Touch Someone.”
Posted in environment, reduce/reuse/recycle, tech/gadgets by thuyA few weeks ago I went to AT&T to have some phone issues resolved and while waiting to be helped, I noticed this box where you can drop off your old, working or non-working cell phones. When you donate your used cell phones to Cell Phones for Soldiers, your phones are either reconditioned and reused — or they’re disposed of in an environmentally friendly way. Best of all, the proceeds provide free phone cards for U.S. military families.
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, electronic waste (e-waste) is accumulating almost three times faster than ordinary household trash. I’m sure all of you have a few broken or outdated phones sitting around in a drawer somewhere waiting to be delivered to electronic heaven. Take them to their pearly white gates and help the soldiers so they can “reach out & touch” their loved ones.
Note: Low quality pic shown above snapped with cellphone.
