Thanks to Broccoli City for having us all at the Standard last week. We ended up missing our fellow greenies (YDT, Apple Levy & Green LA Girl) but got a chance to meet the ladies from Fashionable Earth & Green Drinks LA. The Veev was flowing, new friends were made and feet were shuffling on the dance floor.

Famed animal lover and animal friendly designer, Stella McCartney shows her playful side in her Autumn/Winter ‘09-’10 Campaign. Seriously, who doesn’t love Bambi, Thumper and Flower?

Stella, will you marry me? I know you’re already married and that you don’t swing that way but if anything should change, you know where to find me. And maybe by then it will be legal!

A girl can dream, right?

Thanks for blasting this Pauline. Visit The Lipstick Diaries for more good ting tings.

This is part 1 of an upcoming series produced by Sarah Shewey of Pink Cloud Events. It features the guys of Fallen Fruit and Damien Somerset of Zaproot having candid and unscripted conversations while driving in a new Honda Insight.

Kudos to you Sarah! And I’ll be sure to never throw my apple cores out on the street again.

And there just happened to be another Tesla in the garage charging up. The owner: filmmaker Chris Paine (Who Killed the Electric Car?)

Isn’t she lovely? Especially in Leila Hafzi, who is one of my favorite designers at the moment.

Thanks again to Anna and the Coco Eco crew for another successful shoot. New issue dropping soon!

I’m Back But Not Really

I spent the better part of yesterday recovering, reminiscing, resting and rehydrating. And then wrapped it up by unpacking penis paraphernalia, learning how to speak again, having someone administer a continuous supply of pho broth to me intravenously and trying to get our weekend bachelorette party theme song outta my head! It’s on repeat and I must make it stop!

Yeah, don’t ask. It wasn’t anybody’s bday and there was no sexin’ going on (wink.) Thanks limo dude for having the best music selection ever.

Be back in full effect manana (I hope.)

The Horns Are Coming Out To Play

Off to San Diego for a bachelorette party to corrupt celebrate Michelle’s remaining days as a free woman before she ties the knot with Andy.

Photobucket

I’ll be with a group of green, grown and sexy mother earth lovin’, crazy-fun tree snugglers but there won’t be anything green about this weekend- unless it’s involves something like this..

Photobucket

or this.

Photobucket

So I leave you all with this image of us as happy, sane and sober hapas..

Photobucket

because I’m pretty sure we’ll be coming back like this after all the debauchery that’s about to go down (me being Bernie of course…)

Photobucket

Or the female version of this- minus the baby and all teeth intact. I hope ; )

Photobucket

The GG&S blog will be on vacay as well. I’ll be giving my carpal tunnel a break from typing by replacing it with the strenuous task of lifting a glass to my big mouth continuously over the next three days.

Have a great weekend! xx

Celebrate m.a.m.a. earth and Make A Change For the Better June 11

m.a.m.a. e a r t h is a new non-profit organization that is ready to introduce itself to the world. Proceeds from this charity event will benefit Nourish the Children and Shine On Sierra Leone.

m.a.m.a. e a r t h is the brainchild of Kailani Bayot, a mother of two from O’ahu, HI who now resides in Los Angeles. Kailani has never been short on ideas and she’s pouring all of her creative energy into m.a.m.a. e a r t h.

“We are dedicated to raising awareness and making a change for the better by helping charities raise funds to benefit their causes,” says Kailani. “The concept of m.a.m.a. earth started with bracelets I make using hemp and the natural stone azurite-malachite, which is believed to be a sacred stone that promotes healing and aids in transformation. It has been a natural progression to become a non-profit organization and the bracelets are a wonderful way to raise funds for schools or organizations along with your favorite charity.”

The m.a.m.a. e a r t h red carpet event takes place at Dakota Lounge located at 1026 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica on Thursday June 11th at 8pm. Presale tickets are available at www.dakotalounge.com. Bring a pair of new or used shoes for the m.a.m.a. e a r t h shoe drive, enjoy the show, silent auction and check out some amazing vendors and artists. Proceeds to benefit Nourish the Children and Shine on Sierra Leone.

For additional information on the news that is the subject of this article, contact Kailani Bayot or visit 4mamaearth.org.

Congrats Kailani!!

SADE.4.LIFE

The queen of slim-fitting one piece backless dresses, pulled back hair and the voice of an angel is back and will be blessing us with a new album! Sony has confirmed that Sade Adu has been in the studio and has already finished a few songs. Sade’s last album, Lovers Rock was released in 2000.

Like millions of other people, I have been mesmerized by Sade and her talent since the mid 80’s. Her voice, her face and her style is so unconventional, yet soothingly hypnotic. I saw her twice during her last tour and was in heaven both times.

Welcome back Sade!

We love our Sade tee’s by Diamond Supply Co. Nick, we’re waiting on the hoodies!
