Dirty Never Looked So Good
Posted in environment by jen | Tags: ARP, biodegradable, NYC, trashTrash isn’t pretty, anyway you slice it… or so I thought, until I saw these beautiful piles of loveliness. In an effort to draw attention to the amount of trash we throw away, artist Adrian Kondratowicz is replacing standard black garbage bags with biodegradable pink ones throughout New York City. According to the artist, “We see the pile of black bags and we just walk past them”.
The citywide art intervention is called anycoloryoulike and will travel New York City streets throughout the summer of 2008. Kondratowicz encourages local residents and business owners to participate in beautifying the city while at the same time highlighting the insane amount of waste we create everyday.
Each Art Related Product (ARP) TRASH bag is 100% biodegradable and naturally scented to repel insects and vermin.
