Ross Novie, the writer for The Office, has the mexican-telenovela formula down to a T: rich girl falls in love- gets engaged, only to find out her fiance isn’t registered to vote, her evil sister wants to keep them apart and so does the poor gardner because he is secretly in love with the rich girl- drama, secrets and lust. Ay dios mio!
