Talkin’ Trash
Posted in fashion, reduce/reuse/recycle, shopping, sustainability by jenYo Hypebeast, are you up on this ish?? Launched in February of 2008, The Nike ‘Trash Talk‘ performance shoe endorsed by NBA Phoenix Suns’ Steve Nash, will definitely have green sneakerheads talking (are there any of you out there??).
Nash, a longtime passionate environmentalist teamed up with Nike for this very wearable pair of kicks. The ‘Trash Talk’ is constructed of leftover scraps from the Nike production line and will be the first in a limited series of 3 colorways.
Nike has committed to have all footwear meet their baseline or higher Considered design standards of sustainability by 2011 with a rollout including apparel (2015) and Nike equipment by 2020. Get out there, cop a pair and step yo’ game up!
