Tokio Goes ECCO

I’ve been hearing buzz for or awhile now that Tokio nightclub, which had closed down indefinitely, was going to re-open as Hollywood’s first eco-friendly lounge. The buzz had been nothing more than rumors and speculation up until now… finally our prayers have been answered, we will now be able to party and sin with a little less guilt. Woo Hoo!! I’ll drink to that!

The new incarnation of the club will be called ECCO and is expected to open in July, featuring all kinds of environmentally friendly elements. The construction will include eco-friendly cement, an LED lighting system, waterless urinals, air pressure toilets and power for the club will be supplied by LA DWP Green Power Resources.

The menu will feature organic goodies and we will no doubt be seeing some of our favorite organic alcohol from the likes of Veev, 4 Copas Tequila and Square One Vodka. The clincher is that the whole renovation and re-opening will be filmed for Adrien Grenier’s new show ‘Alter Eco’, which will air on the Discovery Channel’s new network, Planet Green.
